It is the first business day of the moth of this year and my Mother today went to the health insurance branch to pay my premium for the entire year which is just around $72 in dollar's worth.

The price actually had been raised so that it can help with basically the ability of the health insurance agency to provide coverage for its members. I do not mind it since I am using it to bridge my life all these past few years.

I am just thankful to God that my government has a heart in providing and supporting this kind of service to its citizens because for me as a dialysis patient without this government health insurance I wouldn't be around anymore because of the cost of dialysis is just too hard to bear financially considering that we need lots of things to consider if we have comorbidities like to our bones, heart, laboratory tests, and such.

Too bad that my parents are not keen in having to get this kind of insurance which is why I had some difficulty in my first few years being a dialysis patient, having to pay out of pocket because my parents have no insurance whatsoever and back then my Siblings are still in school if not starting with their own career but even with a career back then paying out of pocket will make you bankrupt in matter of weeks especially if you are a poor individual/family.

So we just have to take a loan from people who has some money so that I can patch-up my dialysis which back in the year 2001 is just once every five days and sometimes once a week which in fact is a hard thing to endure and yet I had stayed this far in which I am also thankful in some ways.

Anyway, so it is really very wise to get a health insurance if you have a family of your own most especially, it is your way to show your love to your family because in these times we are basically eating foods with chemicals that will make us sick eventually and there are so many factors that will make us sick these days, we just needed health insurance to give us some peace of mind and of course some happiness.
