This weekend we traveled to the heights of the village of Lemir, with steep slopes and narrow, dirt roads, which is even hard for cars to cross. The slope of the road was so steep that a rookie driver failed to pass it in front of us and his car turned off twice!

My cyclist friends are always very interested in uphill routes. But I have told them many times that these routes can be very tiresome. Every time we ride on such difficult paths, I growl and say: “Have they taken God's flat land from you? Can't you choose a flat route for once? Do you always have to climb like a mountain goat? and more on that subject, why do you people build your villages in the heights?!”

Finally, one of my cyclist friends suggested swapping his bike with me.
I said: “Why are you doing this?”
He said: “I want to challenge myself.”

So I agreed, took his bike and started paddling. Suddenly, it was as if I had exchanged an old donkey for a racehorse. I cycled so fast on the steep path, not feeling tired at all, and I even enjoyed the scenery around me for the first time.

Not only did this bike make my job easier, but it also gave me so much confidence, I rode up the hill and waited on the top for my friends to catch up, those who would always ride in front of me and blaming me for being slow!

Not being tired also allowed me to take lots of pictures.

On the other hand, my friend, who had swapped his bike with me, had left behind the group. In the end, I asked him: “How was my bike?”
He said: “Good! Just a little stiff!”
I said: "Tell the truth!"
He laughed and said, "It's like replacing a top model car with a pickup truck!" It is good to practice with this bike before a cycling race and then use that one for the actual race!
It was clear that he was sweating and very tired.

I felt sorry for my friend, but I was happy for myself, a good day indeed!
