Hiking in the north mountains with a new group and start of a new path in my life ...
The mountains had a different look in the fall, and we took a rough, uphill route. Although at the beginning of the journey I seemed a little out of place and feeble, the further we rise, I felt the more strength and power in me.
I started talking to my new companions, and each of them had their own personalities and potentials. They sometimes had to help me climbing the cliffs and crossing rough paths, and they did it without any hesitation.
After hours of hiking, we rested on a high hill. Yellow-red dried leaves had covered the ground in a way that you could lie down over them or bury yourself under a lot amount of leaves. Standing up there looking down, nature around me was enchanting and terrifying at the same time.
As we waited for a while, our bodies became inactive, and the coldness rushed to us little by little, to the point that I started shivering. A friend took off his windbreaker and gave it to me. On that mountain, I stood on a mysterious pristine land, with people I did not know before today, and they became my best friends.
My companions lit a fire and we ate and headed back. A little further on, a climber joined us with his beautiful black dog. We went down from the mountain and I was moving slowly, I was breathless and my legs were paralyzed from dehydration, but I was going.
If you have heard, coming down steep mountains is harder than climbing them. Climbing a mountain requires energy and descending need courage and strength ...This is how it went… I would fall every step of the route, everyone would laugh! I would get up, threatened them not to laugh at me and they would instead say: “It's a pity we didn't film it!”
One of my companions, who had gone ahead, made an incredible unique sled for me using the dried branches of the trees! I was shocked and sat on the sled and he pulled me from the front and ran down the mountain! I screamed and we continued until the sled broke into a hundred pieces and we reached the bottom eventually ...
In short, we left that place safely. My friends told me that we also have a cycling group and if you want you can take part in our cycling tours. I replied: “I do not have a bicycle!”
The group leader said: “until you buy one, borrow one of the guy’s bike!”
I thought “I always dreamed of cycling but I did not have the courage.” I said to myself, "Once more, put aside the ridiculous fears and take the risk!”
At last, I came to the conclusion that to achieve my long-held dream of cycling, what I lacked most were friends and companions who would understand my passion even a little and encourage me.
