The story began with a coup, one day when we went for our daily hike in the mountains with some of our friends, a hiker of ours that always climb high, hard, and impassable mountains suggested that this weekend instead of choosing a relatively short route as we do every Friday (holiday in Iran) and returning to our homes before noon, we should choose a long and challenging route and stay in the forest until sunset.
He offered us a long but amazing route and tempted us with the unknown beauties of an exceptional land. He then persuaded us all to defend his proposal in front of the group leader, and we were all very wanted to go there, not knowing what was awaiting us at the end of this path.
A new, distant place, in the heart of the forest, a 50-meter-high waterfall that its path was up and down the hills in the jungle, and did not exist in any of our Gps navigations, but he was sure that we would find it as many other local climbers and tourists have gone before us.
He told us about the greatness there and its unknowns like tall trees, untouched nature, the ancient cemeteries along the way, a windmill that was once built here in old times, and so on.
In the end, we talked about the program this weekend with the group manager and we were all convinced to go this way.
He knew it was difficult and we were ambitious, but we were all very enthusiastic and thought that we could do this for sure... So we were able to overcome our words, so our goal for this week was to reach the 50-meter Nilrud waterfall ... in the gorgeous forests of Gilan, in the heart of the forests of Jokandan, Talesh, Iran.
