Last month, I posted an article about a newly found NFT interest of mine, namely that provided by the OTOMotors hypercar project. From then to now, I have to admit that my sparked curiosity has turned into quite an obsession, spending all my free time and most of my ETH resources into building the meta car garage of my dreams while happily renouncing to drive my real Volvo to a much-needed trip to the mechanic, as I eagerly wait for the racing platform to make its launch in the foreseeable future.
In the meantime, I purchased a total of four hypercars: two sandstorm Moonas, one moonshine Tara and one carbon Cerium, and just when I thought that things could not get any more special than being one of those three-hundred-some early birds who now hold on to one or more of a total of 1,250 NFTs already minted, the developers behind this great project stepped it up a gear by releasing the OTO Mod Kits that add rarity to my assets, thus increasing the value of my NFTs.
So, I just had to take a closer look at what is really on offer. According to the latest official press release:
“There are only a limited number of Mod Kits available, and once they are gone, they may not be back for a while”, so the idea is to get in early and purchase them directly from their OTO Motors Garage. So far, three brand new Mod Kits have been made available to jack up my hypercar and make it more competitive once the racing platform is opened. Game Changer, right?
If, like me you have already purchased at least one of these racing beauties, you can see what they would look like all made up with their Mod Kit on OpenSea. But don’t wait it out is my advice, as you may have to fork out more ETH later on, if and when you can find anyone who’s willing to sell their asset, rather than to enjoy racing it in the Race2Earn scheme to be set up on the gaming platform to gain mileage, and further increase the NFTs rarity and value.

Obviously, the Mod Kits are an incentive to reward the NFT collectors, given that anyone who is holding two or more hypercars get their Mod-Kit-freak-on for free. Anyway, it looks like the devs are aiming at giving them away as reward for the early birds and Hyper Club Members by various Discord promotions.
