Third in a series of deeply intimate "strange epigrams" for two glass armonicas, exploiting the ethereal qualities of this instrument. Here, the title "Gegrüßet seist du, Königin" refers to the German translation of the Marian antiphon "Salve Regina", although the associated hymn melody does not appear in the work. An appropriately solemn study in two-part counterpoint, with moments of chromatic passion interspersed throughout. The painting in the video is "Madonna of the Lilies" by Alphonse Mucha.
