Seltsame Epigramme für zwei Glasharmoniken: I. "Aus des Morgens grauen Wogen" [Philip Daniel; 2020]

By PhilipDaniel | Musica Melopoetica | 23 Apr 2021

Intended as the first in a series of deeply intimate "strange epigrams" for two glass armonicas, exploiting the ethereal qualities of this instrument. The title, "Aus des Morgens grauen Wogen", translates to "from the grey billows of morning," a line from Richard Dehmel's poem "Tief von fern" ("In the Deep Distance"). The painting in the video is "Moonlit Night on the Crimea. Gurzuf" by Ivan Aivazovsky.
