Oh, my heart! |Lareh Folk Song of Mazandaran Province!

In this article, we refer to another folk song performed by the Rastak Band, which originates from the northern body of Iran.

Oh, my heart! |Lareh Folk Song of Mazandaran Province!

Iran has three northern provinces located on the shores of the Caspian Sea which due to the pleasant climate, abundant rain, proximity to the coast, and mountains and plains have turned into green rural areas, pristine and at the same time, not very crowded.

Oh, my heart! |Lareh Folk Song of Mazandaran Province!

The people of this region have different cultures, traditions, and many languages, so that each ethnic group has its own accent and even language, in a way that other people living closely might have a hard time understanding their tongue.

Lareh ( Oh, my heart!) (Official Video)

Lyrics:

It’s Twilight!

Come to me, darling!

The water of the Haraz River has risen to my knees

Come to me, darling!

Oh, my heart! |Lareh Folk Song of Mazandaran Province!

Our house is in the middle of the neighborhood

We live upstairs (in the attic)

Oh, my heart! |Lareh Folk Song of Mazandaran Province!

My grandmother's ear is heavy

My older brother has gone to the hood

My little brother is asleep

The porch light is bright

Our rice has been rinsed

Our stew is made with Gheysi (a type of very sweet and pleasant apricot in Iran)

Oh, my heart! |Lareh Folk Song of Mazandaran Province!

The chair fire is reduced to ashes

(You can see elements of a pleasant rural life beautifully in this part of this folk music.)

For several days now, this heart has not been the same

My heart’s Sarban (protector) is no more!

My blossomed flower gardener is no more

A cure for my helpless heart is no more

Oh, my heart! Oh, my heart!

Oh, my heart! |Lareh Folk Song of Mazandaran Province!

I'm from winter and you're from spring

In the attic room with long curtains

You and I should sit together

Sit until the sun sets

To break the hearts of the enemies

Oh, my heart! Oh, my heart!

Oh, my heart! |Lareh Folk Song of Mazandaran Province!

Violet is in bloom and it is spring

It is early in the morning and it is raining

You go and I look at you

I ask of the gloomy sky

my heart is on the way, please do not rain

Oh, my heart! |Lareh Folk Song of Mazandaran Province!
