August is looking juicy in the crypto space — and if you’re like me (trying to grow your wallet without spending heavy), airdrops are free money you don’t want to miss.

I’ve been testing out tasks, building my wallet slowly, and stacking positions in projects that might drop big rewards soon.

Here are the airdrops I’m chasing this month, how to qualify, and how you can start even if your wallet is broke like mine was just a few weeks ago.

1️⃣ LayerZero (ZRO) – Still Cooking

Even though the $ZRO token launched, there’s still strong rumor of a second drop for those who missed out or didn’t meet the first criteria. LayerZero is one of the biggest projects in the interoperability space.

✅ What I’m Doing:

• Using Stargate, Orbiter, and Bridge Swap to bridge tokens
• Completing cheap cross-chain tasks weekly
• Staying active across LayerZero-integrated dApps

💡 Tip: Keep switching between chains like Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, and zkSync — do small amounts if funds are tight.

2️⃣ zkSync – $ZKS Could Be Massive

zkSync is a zero-knowledge Layer 2 scaling solution for Ethereum. People are very sure a token is coming — and those using the ecosystem early could be in for a reward.

✅ What I’m Doing:

• Bridged ETH to zkSync Era using their official bridge
• Used dApps like SyncSwap, Orbiter, and Maverick
• Joined quests on Galxe and Layer3 related to zkSync

💡 Tip: You can do most of these with just $2–$5 worth of ETH. Focus on activity, not volume.

3️⃣ Starknet – Play the Long Game

Starknet is another Layer 2 ZK rollup with huge backing. Their airdrop is expected to come in phases.

✅ What I’m Doing:

• Bridged small ETH to Starknet using the official bridge
• Used apps like JediSwap, mySwap, and Braavos Wallet
• Signed up for quests on QuestN and Galxe

💡 Tip: Be consistent. They might reward users based on weekly activity.

4️⃣ EigenLayer – Restaking for Real Rewards

EigenLayer is in restaking mode right now. They already had some points distributed, but Phase 2 is ongoing, and it’s not too late to get in.

✅ What I’m Doing:

• Delegated some ETH to EigenLayer via Restake Finance
• Farming EigenLayer Points weekly

💡 Tip: Use testnets if you don’t have real ETH. Or team up with someone to pool gas fees.

5️⃣ FriendTech & Fantasy Top (SocialFi)

These are social dApps that could surprise a lot of people with retroactive rewards. They’re fun, low-stress, and sometimes addictive.

✅ What I’m Doing:

• Claimed free keys or cards on FriendTech forks
• Completed SocialFi quests and invited friends

💡 Tip: Don’t just interact — create a little buzz around your profile too. Some platforms reward engagement.

You don’t need a fat wallet to qualify for most airdrops — what you really need is:

• Consistency
• A few dollars for gas
• And knowing which projects are active
