Earning from writing online takes a lot of effort. And you really start earning only when you have found your audience and built a loyal following. But what if you could maximize your possibilities to achieve this from the get-go, and earn an extra buck while you’re at it?

How to do it?

Repost Your Content to Other Platforms

There is really no reason not to do it. Most of the platforms that let you monetize your writing online allow reposting your original content to and from other platforms. The key here is that it must be your original content. Just make sure you read the rules of the platforms you are using.

Not only this will help you earn a little bit extra from the content you have already written, but it will also bring you more followers. The algorithms work differently across the platforms and that's a great way to get your writing some extra exposure.

The platforms I personally currently use: These are affiliate links and if you use them I may earn something at no extra cost to you.

Read.cash — It’s a platform where writers and readers can tip each other for their writing using BitcoinCash. Don’t get spooked from the use of crypto. It’s really easy to use and if you have a Coinbase account, you can cash out your money whenever you want. The great thing about this platform is the fact that even if you don’t have a following there, there is a possibility you might earn something extra there because of TheRandomRewarder bot which analyzes the quality of content and tips accordingly. I managed to earn 13 extra dollars in half a month just by reposting my articles there because of this.

Medium — It’s a traditional writing platform. And you can get paid for your writing if you get accepted to the partner program. The requirements are 100 followers and 1 published story. You also need to check if your country is eligible for the partner program. Reaching 100 hundred followers is not difficult as many users are trying to achieve this goal and are happy to help each other out. Once you are in the partner program you get paid for the time that paying Medium members read your article. You can subscribe to medium for $5 a month to get access to all the articles. But you don't have to become a member to earn. Membership just gives you full access to content from other writers on the platform. If someone signs up using your referral link, you get about half of their $5 monthly fee paid to you each month. Here's my referral link.

There are also some other more traditional platforms I haven’t tried myself yet but might do so in the future. You should also take a look at these: Vocal.mediaNewsbreakSubstack for newsletters. And if you are more into crypto and web 3.0 type of thing you could be interested in Mirror.xyz or Hive ecosystem. And these are just some of the possibilities out there.

Hopefully, these tips will help you grow your audience and increase your earnings.
