I am a fan of the Shin Megami Tensei Persona series developed and primarily by Atlus and the most recent one I have played is the Persona 4: Golden because it has recently been available at Steam for $19.99 (its deluxe version, which includes a digital soundtrack and art book, is priced at $24.99).
But before I mention its minimum system requirements in order to play the game, what is Persona 4: Golden and why should you play it? I will be writing this article in favor for those who haven't played the original Persona 4 game yet. Therefore, I will not be including terminologies one might not easily understand.
Basically, Persona 4: Golden is a portable version of Persona 4 that can be played in PlayStation 2. The game was originally intended to be played in a PlayStation Vita but a version has been released to be played for Microsoft Windows in 2020. Not only is the game made accessible for more potential players, but also choosing P4: Golden as the version released allows players access to an extended content.
Plot

Persona 4: Golden is a role playing game in which the player controls the protagonist throughout the story. The story sets the protagonist in a town called Inaba where he meets friends and together they form a team to solve the mystery of the midnight channel and serial murders.
Gameplay
You can use your keyboard to control the movement and actions of the protagonist. However, as this game follows a story, each choice you make can make a difference on how the story will end. No need to be scared though, as there are guides that can help you (I have attached a gamefaq link in the resources).
Review

I took at least 80 hours in order to finish the game (I reached the true ending). Nevertheless, it was a great experience to play because I enjoyed equipping my character with the best weapons, costumes, and personas. Moreover, I liked how the story progressed because if you paid attention to every detail, you'll deeply understand the role of everybody and how they matter in the game (I'll not spoil anything). Also, using animated cutscenes in between gameplays are a plus factor because somehow it showed the story more than just stills and voiceovers.
A friendly tip: you have to learn how to save frequently. Saving can help you in case you make the wrong choice or if you suddenly die in game and lose all experiences. Anyway, you'll surely enjoy it along the way.
I highly recommend this game to players even though they do not have any experience playing a Persona game. Who knows? Persona 4: Golden's theme might pique your interest. This game has also been adapted into an anime series which I do not recommend watching yet if you have plans to play. Its anime series, simply put, is the story all-in-all but it leaves out the efforts when one plays the game.
Minimum system requirements
Your PC should have at least the following specs to play the game (as recommended by Steam):
- OS: Windows 8.1
- Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 | AMD Phenom IIX2 550
- Memory: 2 GB RAM
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce GTS 450 | AMD Radeon HD 5770
- DirectX: Version 11
- Storage: 14 GB available space
I am also planning to do a review about Persona 3: Portable but that is for another time. Happy playing!
