A few weeks ago, I stumbled across Zaps and decided to give the platform a try. At the time, there was only one campaign available, so I jumped in, spent some time trading on Aerodrome and waited to see how things would turn out.
When the epoch ended, I had finished 15th on the leaderboard. Not bad for someone who had absolutely no clue what was happening behind the scenes!
I was simply exploring a new opportunity, testing the platform and seeing where my activity would take me. What I didn't realize back then was that Zeru Finance was the framework powering Zaps.
Now that I've connected the dots, the bigger picture makes a lot more sense. Web3 continues to expand at an incredible pace, but its ecosystem is still fragmented across protocols!
Many applications and different ways to participate. Finding interesting campaigns is one thing; creating infrastructure that connects activity, engagement and reputation is another.
Rather than looking at participation through a single lens, Zeru is building an ecosystem around behavioural intelligence, onchain reputation and contribution.
These elements can help provide a clearer picture of how users interact with Web3, creating opportunities to recognise activity and participation in more meaningful ways.

Sometimes you discover an ecosystem by doing first and asking questions later! With a better understanding of the infrastructure behind Zaps, I'm much more interested in exploring what Zeru is building.

Of course, qualifying for a reward is not the same as guaranteeing a particular payout. The final value of any token allocation will depend on the distribution details and the token's eventual market value.
One thing I find interesting about these campaigns is that your participation can become part of your track record within an ecosystem.
If you've already used Zaps, traded through supported campaigns or accumulated activity that contributes to your standing, now is a good time to review your progress.
Check your Zaps earned from past trading activity, your current scores and leaderboard positions. If you have a social card or other campaign statistics available, consider sharing them with the community.
