NFT Breaking News #47 - Weasels In Stocks

I've been spending a lot of time exploring digital art, on-chain culture, and the projects shaping the next chapter of Web3. What keeps pulling me back is how quickly this space evolves.

The technology changes, the narratives shift, and creators continue finding new ways to push boundaries in a landscape that refuses to stand still. I found some weasels NFTs that go beyond JPGs!

Weasels In Stock is the NFT collection that is turning royalties into a game NFT projects have tried just about every angle over the years. Some focus on art, some on communities, some on tokens!

The new wave is one that increasingly complicated utility that requires a flowchart just to understand. Weasels In Stock takes a much more entertaining approach, and gives the holders rewards.

Take a collection of weasels, put them on Robinhood Chain, and turn ownership into a game built around staking, royalties, burning and holder rewards. At its core, Weasels In Stock is an ERC-721 NFT collection!

Weasels In Stock also includes holder-only mechanics and raffles. Every Weasel held counts as an entry into raffles, including NFTs that are currently staked. There were some old raffles but nothing new now!

Holders can stake between five and thirty Weasels. Five is the minimum required to participate, and there is no staking lock period! This is alpha ... meaning users can unstake whenever they want.

There is also an activation step. After staking users need to activate their position before it begins earning, or the NFTs will not earn from the collection fees. It's in the best interest of true holders!

The project explains that this warm-up mechanism prevents someone from jumping in immediately before a royalty distribution simply to capture a share of the payout. Once activate the NFTs are part of the distribution system.

What about a mint assistant designed for holders with at least five Weasels? It can read upcoming Robinhood Chain drops, including phases, prices and limits, while keeping the user in control of the actual transaction and wallet approval.

That creates an interesting strategy around holding multiple NFTs. A larger collection isn't just about having more JPEGs sitting in a wallet; it can potentially mean more raffle entries, access to holder mechanics and participation in the staking system.

Looked interesting so I went full degen mode! Bought 30 Weasels and staked them, probably buying at all-time high! My first batch of weasels was at $6.50 but I DCA into it later on for financial efficiency!

The collection started with 6,000 NFTs, but some were burned since then! The project has built an ecosystem around what happens after you own one. The main mechanic for the Weasels In Stock is staking.

The idea is pretty simple! When OpenSea royalties arrive, they are distributed between the staking tiers. Holders can claim their rewards as ETH or let it accumulate! Then there is the more extreme option... burning a Weasel.

Burning is permanent. In return the holder receives a permanent share of the burn pool, which is designed to receive a portion of royalties for as long as the collection continues generating trading activity.

Once an NFT is destroyed, it cannot be recovered! Of course, there is an important catch. Your share can be diluted when other holders burn their Weasels, and the rewards depend entirely on future trading volume.

However... I don't burn... I collect! So went DCA into Weasels as the floor went down and got 15 more at $1.75 average then 25 more at $0.90 average! Sent 30 of them to an alt wallet and staked for fee share!

Total investment at $245 and that's a calculated risk! I wanted to see how much I can recover from fee distribution. The big brain move happened when the floor surged overnight! I started selling spare ones!

I had 10 in my wallet in case this pump happened so I was prepared! Then I thought about a twist! Unstaked some common ones and swapped them with rare in the staking vault, then listed some!

I unstaked most of the Weasels in the alt wallet, and left the rarest 10 NFTs in there! Listed some and accepted a lot of offers for a quick cash-out! The flip-wack strategy worked perfectly!

I sold two at $7.20 and three at $6.75 but now others have started to sell aggressively! Edited some listings and then started to accept the best offers on the Weasels I still had in the wallet!

The floor was sliding so fast thinking was required! Clicking on those offers like crazy and managing to sell 18 weasels at 5.6 average, and then sets of five between $5.5 and $5.2 per NFT!

Everything went on fast-forward and I settled with the 30 most rare weasels I had in my main wallet, and 10 on the alt one... just in case the project takes off once they launch their token!

In a market full of projects promising the next revolutionary NFT utility, Weasels In Stock has gone back to a wonderfully crypto-native idea! Give people a bunch of weasels and some economic incentives!

Spent $245 to get over 70 NFTs and then sold more than half for $208 at high value. Now I have 40 Weasels left and you've done the maths right? Got them for $37 and earning $ETH as we speak!

Let's do that calculation again ... as I just claimed $27 worth of $ETH from the dashboard! More volume bring more shares for me and my Weasels! Now I can say I got 40 NFTs for only ten dollars!
