When the soul enters the physical body at the time of birth, the individual expression of light becomes incarnated In the flesh of the physical body. The physical body is our temporary vehicle that we are given for our use during our lifetime on this planet. The body comes with many traits including but not limited to: physical senses, emotional and physical needs and wants, and some variable traits such as: bone structure, hair and skin color, gender, height, size and shape and also the variation of proportionate sizes to all parts. a body, as Dr Barbara Condron says, is the physical manifestation of God. Therefore, the ego, being a part of the body is also a part of the divine plan while in this earthly school room.
The ego is a non-physical part of the body. It's duty is as a protector of the physical body. The eagle was developed in the stage of animal mat as such it is a reactionary system that is based upon the fight or flight pattern found in nature.
The ego if not brought under conscious control by the person, can overtime begin to influence more and more of an individual's personal choices in life. the ego may also hold falsely on to past experiences of pain or trauma whether physical or emotional. This holding is due to the ego attempting to keep the body from perceived emotional or physical harm whether that harm is actually a threat or not.
An ego that is not trained or disciplined is like a unleashed dog in a park full of squirrels. The dog will be drawn to the squirrels out of instinct and proceed to chase any squirrels until it catches them and either kills or eats them. unless a dog is previously trained exceptionally well or is on a leash this will usually be the case. We all know that dogs can be trained with discipline, time, and effort that is focused on reward, not punishment.
The Ego can be brought under control of an individual by filing the steps of honesty, discipline, and a productive imagination. the ego is a delusion although a delusion it still serves an extremely important purpose and also is something that can be learned from.
The first step in taking control of the ego is to be honest. To be honest is to recognize the temperamental and temporary nature of the ego. Flat out telling the ego, "NO!" , Hardly if ever works and if it does many times the ego will eventually react again. The best way to defeat the ego is with your truth. The eagle will make excuses, exceptions, and all sorts of tricks up to deceive you. In order to master the ego you will need to acknowledge it by recognizing the thought or emotion it causes. Then a limited thought such as, "It's just this one time" or " I'm too worn out" or " It doesn't matter." Is replaced by the truth of: "It's never just one time!" , " I have all the energy I need and can create more energy at will!" and "Absolutely everything matters!" In fact if it didn't 'matter' the scientists would call the substance which makes up our universe, something else.
Discipline is the second part of mastering the ego. This kind of discipline is not related to punishment. This discipline is all about being consistent with your will and following through or taking action towards your ideals, goals, and desires of your mind. to be disciplined is to have done what you actually wanted to do from a place of higher mind or more productive thought.
Finally there is a productive use of imagination. in order to fully conquer the ego limited thoughts and emotional reactions you will need to use the imagination to hold in mind what the Truth you are choosing to acknowledge actually means to you. This truth is a higher thought form the imagination can give glimpses of what this thought form actually looks and feels like. This is the total recognition and acceptance of your reality but with the hope that you can and will change and create a better reality and existence simply because you are here.
Ask yourself: " What if I saw what I looked like actually living my ideal life?
What would I be feeling what would my experience be like if I was totally in the place that I wanted to be?
How could I see myself and imagine myself differently than where I am now?"
So that's all I have to say about the ego today I hope that you have taken something from this I hope you will continue to read my posts thank you so much.
