A Chaos Legion rare level monster from the Fire unit at level 1:

  • Estimated cost: $0.16
  • Range attack: 2
  • Speed: 2
  • Health: 4

The weekly battles are back and continue to focus on the new Chaos Legion cards, and this week it focuses on the Scavo Firebolt. What do you get when you mix the characters from Desperate Housewives (Lynette and Tom Scavo) and one of the famous quidditch broomsticks from Harry Potter? You get the rare fire unit Scavo Firebolt. The Scavo Firebolt is a low-mana cap monster with decent stats at level one and a card new players to splinterlands would find helpful. A similar monster that I will feature in battle is the Peacebringer, with similar at level one. The two significant differences are that they are from different units and the Scavo Firebolt gets a Knock Out ability at level six.

I am still scratching my head at how I lost this battle. On paper, I thought I had my opponent beat, mainly as they played a couple of level one monsters, and I had a couple of legendary magic monsters. Regardless, I got the positioning of my monsters wrong by front-loading three magic monsters, whereas my opponent kept one magic monster in the last position. Also, I think that I played one too many magic support monsters and should've instead gone for another high-health magic monster. Playing this battle on my alt account, I have Peacebringer at level three, and it's a helpful card with decent stats. Nonetheless, the Peacebringer played its part in the backline trio of dealing most of the damage my lineup dealt.

Do you like the Scavo Firebolt? Why or why not?

The Chaos Legion monsters have been valuable additions apart from one or two monsters that are pack fillers. The Scavo Firebolt joins a bunch of monsters with the Knock Out ability, of which four are from the fire unit. Suppose you are looking for a cheaper alternative. In that case, Scavo Firebolt is more affordable than its compatriots, Ettin Spearman and Pyromancer, so it will be a helpful addition to your splinterlands collection.
