The UK's top financial regulator conducted a survey and found a significant increase in cryptocurrency and awareness of cryptocurrencies. According to the survey, up to 2.6 million citizens reportedly own some cryptocurrencies. Most of them were bought on foreign stock exchanges.

The Financial Management Authority (FCA), which regulates the UK financial services industry, published a report on Tuesday entitled "Consumer Research 2020 in the Crypto Industry". This quantitative research follows on from the FCA's cryptocurrency report in March last year.
