Over the last month Argentina has raised atention in many countries once again after winning the Football Worldcup organized by FIFA.

I've been trying to get my head around the idea of start writing a small blog of why and how Argentina it's in the actual social economical crisis (and has been for soooooo long).
Simon Kusnetz, the winner of the Nobel prize in economics in 1971 once said: "There are four types of economies in the world: developed, undeveloped, Japan and Argentina". With this, he meant that Japan had nothing to be a developed country (sepaking about natural resources and geographical conveniences) but somehow it was. While Argentina had everything to be a developed country (an enormous amount of fertile soil among almost any other natural resource you could imagine: petroleum, gold and now lithium).
So why is Argentina a country with so huge economic problems? Having one of the biggests inflations in the whole world and the worst country to lend money to (IMF is once again on the edge of defaulting Argentinian's debt, althought the last six months have shown some improvement).

Sergio Massa: Argentina's Ministry of Economy since July 2022.
The economy is a mess but we have a couple of thing to be proud of besides the world cup: health system and education up to the university are 100% free to any person in the world that comes to Argentina. We have a system of social aid for every kid in order to guarantee all of the population has every vaccine needed for a healthy life and a middle education (again, both things completely for free). And we have some technology institutes that prepare some of the greatest professionals in the world.
So in order to explain why our Manifest Destiny has avoided argentinians so much, we need to make a complete tour over our history, at least since the 1880's where a whole generation thought on a country that would be "World's Barn" providing food and supplies to most countries.
It's a story full of deceptions and betrayals. But also with a little bit of hope.
