Within hours, it reached a trading price of $20.73, with a 24-hour trading volume exceeding $3.3 billion and a market capitalization of approximately $4.14 billion. The total supply is capped at nearly 1 billion tokens, with 200 million currently in circulation.
The legitimacy of the $TRUMP memecoin has been a topic of debate. Some analysts point to the coin's website, which credits CIC Digital—the same official licensee behind Trump's previous NFT collections—as evidence supporting its authenticity. Additionally, the infrastructure and deployment of the site align with Trump's earlier ventures, leading some to conclude it's legitimate.
Conversely, skeptics highlight potential red flags, such as the concentration of token ownership. Reports indicate that the top ten holders possess 86% of the coin, and the contract ownership is not renounced, raising concerns about market manipulation.
As of now, there have been no official statements clarifying the situation, leaving the cryptocurrency community to speculate on the coin's legitimacy. Whether $TRUMP represents a genuine venture or a sophisticated scam remains to be seen. Potential investors are advised to exercise caution and conduct thorough research before engaging with the token.
