The price of Bitcoin is pumping in the last few hours! Since yesterday, May 15th, BTC has gone from around $62,500 to the current $66,000 📈
Why this $BTC pump? 🧐
The reasons are different. The most plausible answer is that the market is interpreting the data on American inflation, released yesterday early afternoon, in a positive way. The CPI for the month of April tells us that inflation dropped from 3.5% to 3.4% 📉
This data, in line with forecasts, increases the probability of an imminent cut in interest rates, although to be sure it is necessary to wait for the Federal Reserve's next move. Will Jerome Powell finally announce his first rate cut during the next FOMC?
Bull-Run has started? Or is is a Bull-Trap
Bitcoin surpassed its ATH a few days ago and has remained in that range for days. I expect an upward breakout in the next few days. Historically, this is one of the best times to invest in crypto as the halving has just occurred. In past cycles, after the halving we have always witnessed a powerful increase in the price of Bitcoin in the months following the halving.
Will history repeat itself in this cycle too?
