Anthony Scaramucci, the founder of SkyBridge Capital and former White House communications director, has shared his insights on why he believes Bitcoin could soon reach the $100,000 mark. In a recent interview with CNBC, Scaramucci discussed the factors influencing Bitcoin's recent performance and future potential.

He noted that Bitcoin's significant drop in 2022 was due to a combination of industry-specific challenges and broader macroeconomic issues. However, the cryptocurrency has seen a strong recovery in 2023. Scaramucci emphasized that this bullish trend gained momentum after the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved spot Bitcoin ETFs. He highlighted that the introduction of these exchange-traded funds (ETFs) has been one of the most successful in history, significantly boosting Bitcoin's legitimacy.

Scaramucci explained that the approval of BTC-ETFs has acted as a major catalyst for Bitcoin's growth, attracting a larger number of traditional investors to the cryptocurrency market. This increase in investor interest has further solidified Bitcoin's position as a credible asset. Despite the price of gold rising by 30% over the past two years, Scaramucci maintains that Bitcoin remains an excellent savings vehicle and will continue to be so in the future. He pointed to the growing public acceptance of Bitcoin, as evidenced by the rising number of crypto wallets, as a sign of its increasing adoption.

Earlier in the year, Scaramucci had predicted that Bitcoin could reach $100,000 by the end of the year, driven by substantial growth in the cryptocurrency market during the first quarter. Although a significant market correction followed, Scaramucci remains optimistic about Bitcoin's long-term prospects. He acknowledges that the original timeline for Bitcoin reaching $100,000 might be delayed due to regulatory uncertainties and increasing incidents of crypto-related fraud. Nevertheless, he believes that the $100,000 target is still achievable, even if it takes longer than initially expected.

In March, Scaramucci advised investors to hold onto their Bitcoins, despite the potential for severe price fluctuations. He also suggested that Bitcoin's value would rise regardless of the outcome of the upcoming U.S. presidential election, predicting that demand for the cryptocurrency would remain strong. Overall, Scaramucci is confident in Bitcoin's future as a leading digital asset and savings vehicle, driven by increasing investor interest and broader acceptance.
