This is a new multi-pronged partnership between Ava Labs and GREE, the Japanese game and media company, which is committed to accelerating the growth of Web3 games on Avalanche.

The content of the partnership:
BLRD, a subsidiary of Japanese internet gaming and media company GREE, and Ava Labs, the software company that provides blockchain support Avalanche and its ecosystem, have entered into a strategic partnership aimed at accelerating BLRD's growth in the blockchain gaming industry. , as it plans to launch its first Web3 game in 2023.
GREE now operates more than a dozen Avalanche validators as part of its larger plans to participate in the primary Avalanche network and gaming subnets. Additionally, it now holds the Avalanche token, AVAX, marking a milestone for a publicly traded company in Japan.

The decades-long history of BLRD's leadership in the gaming industry includes the release of the first mobile social game, Fishing Star, in 2007, as well as hits such as:

30 million monthly active users in its games.
Collaboration with the best gaming companies, such as Square Enix, Sega, Konami and Bandai Namco, to publish mobile games that have reached millions of downloads.
Popular intellectual property in mobile games and "anime," such as One Punch Man.
Ava Labs will help spur BLRD's growth in the blockchain gaming industry by providing technical, marketing, commercial and ecosystem support.

GREE has more than ten years of experience creating highly engaging Web2 games, including working on a number of popular games, including Naruto and several mobile versions of Final Fantasy. BLRD intends to make a broad entry into the Web3 gaming industry, including game development and distribution on Avalanche, NFT, running validators and investing in third party games.

Additionally, BLRD intends to partner with Ava Labs and the Avalanche Foundation on other projects, including joint investments with Blizzard and the Avalanche Fund.

Final remarks:
We therefore add a new partnership between the cryptocurrency / blockchain sector and the gaming sector, together to develop a new gaming model for the players of the future. It is partnerships like this that create value for on-chain ecosystems, because blockchains will acquire more and more value only if integrations, partnerships and more generally mass adoption increase.
Partnerships like this are certainly encouraging signs for the future of the sector, even if, being currently in the bear market, news like this has little impact on the price of AVAX. If we had been in the bull market now, news like this would have had a major impact on the AVAX chart. But there's no reason to despair: partnerships like this are the foundation for building successful products, and we'll reap the rewards in the next bullrun.
