Market analyst EGRAG projects that Bitcoin’s next price peak may occur between mid and late 2025, basing this prediction on an analysis of four previous Bitcoin price cycles and the influence of Fibonacci retracement levels. According to EGRAG, Bitcoin’s historical price patterns reveal that its price significantly rises after breaking major resistance levels, especially the Fibonacci 1 level. By studying these past cycles, EGRAG has identified key timeframes for each peak that could offer insight into the current cycle’s trajectory.
In the first Bitcoin cycle (2011-2013), Bitcoin reached a high of $1,242 in November 2013, taking 245 days (8 monthly bars) from the moment it broke through the Fibonacci 1 level. This set a precedent for long-term price behavior patterns. The second cycle (2013-2017) saw a similar pattern: after another break above the Fibonacci 1 level, Bitcoin took 214 days (7 monthly bars) to hit $19,785 in December 2017. In the third cycle, EGRAG considers Bitcoin's peak to have occurred in November 2021, marking the end of an 11-month rise (335 days) from a Fibonacci 1 breakout, reaching $68,997.
EGRAG uses these timelines to propose two potential peaks for the current Bitcoin cycle: if Bitcoin’s price follows the average length of previous cycles (265 days after a Fibonacci 1 breakthrough), then it could peak around June 2025. However, if the pattern of the third cycle is repeated, Bitcoin might peak approximately 335 days post-breakout, placing a potential high in September 2025.
EGRAG emphasizes patience for investors, as the timing of the next peak will likely depend on when Bitcoin closes a full candle above the Fibonacci 1 level, which currently sits around $69,725. Historically, this Fibonacci 1 level has acted as a critical resistance point; once surpassed, Bitcoin has often continued to rise, typically toward the Fibonacci 1.618 level. For the current cycle, EGRAG’s chart suggests that if Bitcoin breaks this resistance level, it could potentially rally up to $176,061, marking a new record high.
However, EGRAG’s optimistic forecast is contrasted by veteran analyst Peter Brandt, who has proposed that Bitcoin may have already peaked in the current cycle. EGRAG, however, maintains that historical Fibonacci-based cycle behavior supports the mid-to-late 2025 peak outlook for Bitcoin.
