The Bitcoin market has experienced notable fluctuations over the past week, with its price oscillating between $57,815 and $61,815. The 50-day simple moving average (SMA) at $61,662 has consistently acted as a resistance level, preventing the price from rising further. As of the latest update, Bitcoin's price stands at $58,106.44, marking a slight decline of 0.2% in the past hour and a 0.6% drop since the previous day. Overall, Bitcoin's value has decreased by 5.2% over the past seven days.

In the last 24 hours, 57,708 traders were liquidated, leading to a total of $221.55 million in liquidations. The most significant single liquidation order occurred on Binance, where a BTCUSDT order worth $10.83 million was executed.

According to Glassnode, the recent price volatility in Bitcoin can be attributed in part to a "weakness in spot demand." This assessment was made by analyzing the cumulative volume delta (CVD), which measures the net balance of purchases and sales in the Bitcoin spot market. Glassnode's data indicates that since Bitcoin reached its all-time high (ATH) in March, the market has been undergoing a prolonged period of supply allocation across wallets of all sizes. However, in recent weeks, there have been early signs of a reversal in this trend, particularly among the largest wallets, which are often associated with exchange-traded funds (ETFs). These larger wallets seem to be returning to an accumulation phase.

Glassnode suggests that spot market demand will resume when the adjusted CVD crosses the zero line and turns positive. If this occurs, Bitcoin could break out of its current consolidation phase, surpass the $70,000 to $72,000 accumulation zone, and enter a phase of price discovery.

As Bitcoin enters the weekend, there is a prevailing negative sentiment among traders. A key indicator, the "death cross," is raising concerns about potential further declines in Bitcoin's price. This bearish signal, identified by the crypto trader Mags, occurs when the 50-day SMA drops below the 200-day SMA, indicating short-term market weakness. Traders often use this crossover to compare Bitcoin's recent performance with its overall trend.

IG market analyst Tony Sycamore noted that for Bitcoin to stabilize, it needs to retrace to the 200-day moving average, which currently stands at $62,432. This would allow Bitcoin to test the resistance around the $70,000 level, which could determine its next move.
