Unilayer & BetFi Investigation
The crime saga is continuing as we are getting more updates on disciplines of John Mcafee doing sketchy stuff in the space. Previously I talked about one of these people Adrian Daluz the man behind DistX and other projects in the space. Now we're focusing on Geo another person who was working on GHOST and still is with John Mcafee.
This story has to do with a project that was launched via Unilayer Funding dapp. Called BetFi that has so far reached their Softcap of 500 ETH investment. Now according to our research, we were able to find out that there seems to be a connection with this project to another old project WavesBet which was sold to John Mcafee / Josh, CEO Of Switch.
Now what basically happened during this transaction was that the code was never transferred to switch even though they received a payment worth of 250,000$ via this transaction. This Jason individual basically skipped town but he was actually spotted on the actual BetFi Telegram channel which seems to be the same people that previously ran WavesBet.
Now one of these Twitter accounts known as DefiDegenz was behind promoting WavesBet, Unilayer, and also BetFi - but as I was conducting this investigation the account was deleted. Luckily we were able to save some of the images and data regarding this account, also tweet by John Mcafee
So we have a high belief that this was a person on Geo's payroll given all the activity this account was behind of. Making a longer connection between Wavesbet and Geo ultimately. There is more information wavesbet platforms code and shit behind it, but its not something I'm gonna cover here (you can google it up).
Other Key Takeaways
- Other intel I've received is that the new Unilayer platform known as JustLayer is actually ran by same people as BetFi
- BetFi team is refusing to address the connection between the two platforms so far
- BetFi doesn't have an official betting license from any organization or entity, which makes them illegal and can be shutdown
- Team of BetFi is anonymous and only Geo knows their identities and faces at the moment.
