You know you have asked yourself this question in many occasions... "How Do I Easily Teach Bitcoin To My Mom?"
Let's start with: It is never a great idea just to jump in all guns blazing with words such as; "mom you have the attitude of a brick towards Bitcoin!" Just no... don't try this method... you many end up wearing a brick. Try this set of destructions below first... yes I typed 'destructions'... It depends on you, here goes.

In The Beginning There Was Mom
As Bitcoin continues to grow in popularity, you may find yourself wondering how to explain it to family members who may not be as technologically savvy. Specifically, how do you easily teach Bitcoin to your mom? The good news is that Bitcoin is not as complicated as it might seem, and with a few simple tips and tricks, you can help your mom get started with cryptocurrency.
First, it's important to explain what Bitcoin is. At its core, Bitcoin is a digital currency that allows you to make transactions without the need for a central authority, like a bank. Instead, Bitcoin uses a decentralized network of computers to verify and record transactions. This makes Bitcoin more secure and less vulnerable to fraud than traditional forms of currency.

It STILL remains sadly, that many people are still skeptical of Bitcoin because of its association with scams and illegal activities... Your mom is almost certainly one of them since you are here... It's important to address these concerns and explain that while there are certainly risks associated with Bitcoin, it is not inherently a scam or fraudulent. In fact, many legitimate businesses and individuals use Bitcoin as a form of payment.
Factually there are more scams involving regular paper cash and bank accounts than Bitcoin and secure Bitcoin Wallets... this should be explained.
So, how do you get started with Bitcoin? Here's a simple checklist for first-time Bitcoin adopters:

Get a Bitcoin wallet
A Bitcoin wallet is a digital wallet that stores your Bitcoin. Think of it like a physical wallet that holds your cash and cards. There are many different Bitcoin wallets available, so it's important to do your research and find a reputable one. Some popular options include Coinbase, Gemini, Binance and BRD... Or my personal favourite Nexo, which also has a secure Hard Wallet version in Nexo Wallet that you can sync to Nexo and Coinbase or MetaMask- You could opt for a separate more secure wallet to which you have full control over, with its own unique keys and passwords... a Hardware Wallet.

Buy some Bitcoin
Once you have a Bitcoin wallet, you can start buying Bitcoin. There are several ways to do this, including through a Bitcoin exchange or through a peer-to-peer marketplace like LocalBitcoins. It's important to note that Bitcoin's value can fluctuate rapidly, so it's important to be aware of the risks involved and only invest what you can afford to lose.
Secure your Bitcoin
Since Bitcoin is a digital currency, it's important to take steps to secure your Bitcoin from potential hackers or scammers. This can include setting up two-factor authentication on your Bitcoin wallet, using a strong password, and storing your Bitcoin on a hardware wallet rather than on an exchange.

Use your Bitcoin
Once you have some Bitcoin, you can start using it to make purchases. Many online retailers and some brick-and-mortar stores accept Bitcoin as a form of payment. You can also send Bitcoin to other people as a form of payment or as a gift.
Of course, this list is just a starting point. There's much more to learn about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. But hopefully, these tips will help get your mom (or any other first-time Bitcoin adopter) started on their journey.

Now, let's add some humour to this. The simplest way to make your mom understand Bitcoin is to relate it to currency she's used all her life. Imagine Bitcoin as a candy bar. Instead of paying for it with cash or a card, you use your phone to scan a QR code on the wrapper, and the value is deducted from your digital wallet. Think of the blockchain as a giant vending machine, where every candy bar has its own unique identifier that can be traced back to its creation.
Or, if your mom is a fan of old-school movies, you can say that Bitcoin is like a suitcase full of cash. Just like in gangster movies, people can send Bitcoin from one anonymous wallet to another, without the interference of a bank or law enforcement. However, reassure her that Bitcoin is a legitimate currency and not illegal money laundering like in those old movies.

You see? Teaching your mom about Bitcoin doesn't have to be a daunting task. Just remember to keep things simple and relatable, and address any concerns she may have. With the right guidance, your mom could become a savvy Bitcoin investor in no time.
