I'm currently trying to upload a video interview (in the form of a reel) to Instagram. It's my second attempt and the first one didn't go well because A, the video is quite long and therefore the video file is quite large and B, not enough storage on my phone.

I'm on a 256 GB device, with an extra 1 TB, but somehow, "NOT ENOUGH STORAGE".

I'm a content creator by trade, which means I don't compromise on quality, which means every video I film must be 4K, and it means I edit and reedit photos and videos till they perfect (and then forget to delete the ones I'm not using), which contributes to the "NOT ENOUGH STORAGE" problem.

There's another problem.

In the early days of camera phones, a simple picture was a few KB. Now, depending on different factors, you can easily take a picture and it's 10 MB.

NOT ENOUGH STORAGE.

Also, I'm writing this on a laptop that shares aforementioned 1 TB storage space, but even so, it constantly says "NOT ENOUGH STORAGE".

Also also, my Gmail account has been telling me for months to delete some files and emails because, you've guessed it, "NOT ENOUGH STORAGE".

At this rate, we're going to need two things in the future: a lot of energy, and a lot of storage.

All this AI stuff, for example, takes up exabytes of storage, and consumes trillions of kW.

It is soon going to become a serious issue.
