Random thoughts on the Musk vs Trump beef

I want to make it plain, I try my best to not let political stuff cloud my judgment. I also firmly believe that politicians matter less than we think.

Politicians never do the things they say they're going to do, not because they're liars (well, also because of that), but because there's an army of people that were there before them and will be there after.

The U.S. has 16 (or 17, depending on how you count them) intelligence agencies, the DoD alone is the largest employer in the world. Then there's Congress.

Put together, you're looking at millions (literally) of people who were here before Trump and Biden and Trump and Obama. And will be here after Trump and whoever's next.

They have the power to tell the President 'NO'. And they do. Often.

Musk is different.

On the one hand, he's constantly treading on egg shells by always being extremely defiant towards people who have the power to harm him and hurt him.

It would be the work of a moment to strip him of his US citizenship and kick him out of the country.

Make no mistakes, people in power absolutely do have the power to do that. But they won't, why? Because they need him. Because NASA, God knows how, found itself dependent on what is technically a private entity, SpaceX.

Musk will never be President, because he wasn't born in the U.S., but he'll be here for another 20 or 30 years at least, and Trump won't.

I'm not taking sides here. I can't vote in the U.S. and I don't drive a Tesla. I'm just trying to put things into perspective.

What say you?
