You may have noticed, people on the internet have an extremely limited attention span, which gives us a great opportunity.
It's unideal, but it is what it is, and so we might as well use it
If whatever you do is only valued for about 20-25 seconds (not making this up, that's the average viewing time of a short on YouTube and average reading time of an article published on the internet) before people get tired and move on, it means two things.
First, if you make a mistake, it won't matter anymore after 20-25 seconds.
Second, users want 'more' content, they want 'better' content, but they also want more, and that means - *sigh* - quantity beats quality.
I don't remember who said it but somebody once said when it comes to content, quality is art, quantity is science.
Getting it right in terms of the quality of your content is an art form.
You're either a good editor or you're not.
You're either a great narrator or you're not.
You either look good in front of a camera or you don't.
You can get better, no doubt. But it's like football. Train as hard as you can, there will always be Messis and Ronaldos out there.
However, quantity is science. Sharing a sub-par YouTube short a day is better than sharing an outstanding YouTube short a week.
Don't get me wrong, these platforms are now pivoting towards quality and are paying a lot more attention to quality, but that's difficult to control and master.
But you can control your quantity. So you might as well do.
