So in the end it went exactly like Pavel Durov told Tucker Carlson.
Pavel Durov, who's been on house arrest (technically, sort of, he can freely move about France, more or less) since his controversial arrest in Paris last summer, will be allowed to travel to Dubai, UAE, where is company is headquartered.
Reminder, Durov is a citizen of both France and the UAE.
This is Durov's second request to leave France, but this is the first one that was accepted.
Durov also took time to accuse France President Emmanuel Macron of "not making the right choices", "France is getting weaker and weaker".
Honestly, he's probably not wrong, but I'd be careful saying that about the person who gets to say yes or no to your travel requests.
If I were him, and I'm not, but if I were him, with his billions, once this thing is resolved (I'm assuming he won't actually end up in jail), I'd get a few new passports (easy to do when you're rich, there are plenty of countries that'll literally sell it to you legally), relinquinsh my French citizenship and never set foot in France again.
Or nah?
