Google has a monopoly, US judge says - 'Oh No! Anyway', average Google user replies

Here's something people may not know about Google, the most popular search engine in the world pays companies to make Google their standard search engine.

If you buy an Apple product, or a Samsung product, for example, it'll come with Google pre-installed. Google, another example, is the factory search engine for Safari.

A US judge found that Google spent $26 billion in 2021 alone on this particular practice.

But several users point out that this is a waste of money because, they argue, people would use Google anyway.

And they have a point.

Google is by far the most popular search engine in the world, with a 90+ percent dominance, but there's a reason for this.

Google is not perfect, it sometimes censors things, and occasionally provides results that aren't relevant, but what are the alternatives? Bing? Yahoo? Really?

Get real, Google has a monopoly, not because they pay companies but because its rivals are few and far between, and they're all pretty s**t.
