David Lebovitz, the global market strategist at JP Morgan has given a warning to Bitcoin investors that they need to be prepared for the value of Bitcoin to go to zero. This is not the first time somebody said this. And the reasons for the fall are all the same.
The recent price actions in the Crypto market have drowned many eyes. And many investors and businesses who once opposed digital assets are now considering them as not just investments but also as a currency. The global leaders in financial services, JP Morgan is one of them. They are bullish on the future of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain technology. They believe that Blockchain is on its way to becoming more mainstream. But they do not have the same views about Bitcoin.
They believe that the current transaction ability of the Bitcoin network is not enough for it to become a currency in a traditional sense or a medium of exchange. Currently, the number of transactions the Bitcoin network can process is very few and the fee for this is very high. And when the number of blocks in the network increases the time to mine a block along with the transaction fee also increases(you would have experienced this in the last couple of weeks). If this situation is not sorted it will definitely drag back the ability of Bitcoin to become a truly digital currency. Currently, since nothing is going on in the backend of Bitcoin to address this issue, the value Bitcoin now holds can dip to nothing warns JP Morgan.
