Light learning about NFT's - Upland, Funko, and Beeple

Hi! So after the massive news the other week of an NFT auction setting a record (Beeple's latest NFT sells to runner-up of $69 million auction) and further news (Funko CEO on the ability to disrupt the NFT space in a different way) has me really interested in the entire space. The most obvious place to start was with what happened around that record art sale, adding some context in my brain about what are the differences I can comprehend between normal artworks and digital (a rather lot, as well as quite a bit about NFT's specifically, such as the potential for multiple NFT owners of the same NFT).

From there when I read news about Funko I've enjoyed thinking about NFT's, and a future of owning a (tiny) piece of a major IP. Looking into Upland, property trading game I found it utilizes NFT's as the basis for the properties and is bringing NFT's to the in-game characters (mine is a generic tree, it would be really neat to be able to load in, say, Lucy from Disenchantment after Funko brings NFT's to their rarer toys).

It all has me excited, so much to read into and learn. There is even a more traditional approach to making money from it all as Metaverse announces a REIT for NFT properties.
