Over a month ago, the announcement of the Avalanche Rush program, a USD180m incentive program, sent the price of AVAX up, hitting all-time-highs (ATH). As seen in the screenshot where the price has more than doubled.
Between the announcement till now:
- Avalanche blockchain celebrated their 1-year anniversary in Sep
- Benqi, a Curve-like protocol, crushed the 1 billion TVL within days
- $GB, a token called Good Bridging that has no official announcement, was air-dropped to AVAX bridge users (randomly on a random day) and was worth around USD1.6k as of the time of the airdrop
- There was a network upgrade (I'm a happy user - it did drove the fees down, and is especially significant for a small user like myself)
- $AVAX, the native blockchain token, is launched on Coinbase, a listed crypto exchange firm.
Fast forward to now - we still have yet to see Aave or Curve (the two more prominent protocols) on Avax and prices are stabilising in the USD60+ range. Whether it's priced-in, it's anybody's guess. So, when are they launching? That's anybody's guess too. Apparently it was slated to launch already but there's been a delay. Dubious? Hard to say, given the happenings so far... It does seem like a pretty legit blockchain (not financial advice).
