My mom finally pulled the trigger
My mother called me the other day and told me that she sold a couple thousand Euro worth of stocks she's been holding for like 15 years. I said that's great and shit and later in that call she asked me to buy her some Bitcoin.
This was something I was expecting from the moment she told me she sold her stocks. She knows that I am living off my crypto income and after hearing me talking about crypto for years she finally did the right choise and secure a spot in the BTC train.
My mom is a 60 years old civil servant who loves watching tv shows, dogwalks and cooking. She's a "classic" mom and if she is buying Bitcoin then I know that mass adoption is coming!
One thing I find funny though is how her opinion about crypto has shaped though these 2 years. At first she was like "NOW WAY, DON'T QUIT YOUR FIAT JOB TO GET PAID IN FAKE MONEY USED TO BUY DRUGS" and all that stuff but now she's watching me living off my crypto income and she's proud of her son hehe!
Mom is a hodler
My mom doesn't really care about short-term profits and she wants to keep that 2k BTC she's gonna buy for at least the next 5-10 years.
I think I'm gonna buy her a hardware wallet and load it with that BTC just to be safe. I can't wait to see her expression in the years to come when she'll realize that this was a life-changing move!
Greek economy is collapsing, salaries and pensions are getting "chopped" and only a lunatic can claim that we'll recover. The only way out of their "matrix", especially for older people like my mom is something out of the ordinary and investing in Bitcoin is probably the safest bet.
