I try to read as many stories as I can that are posted covering as many topics as I can. When I do this I try to pay attention to if this is a new author or if they have a small following. If they have either of those I try to make sure they are one of the first two tips and that they get a higher amount. I think of this as my way I can try to encourage these people to keep writing and continue to grow the platform.
The development team behind Publish0x has always been open to new idea and ways to improve the platform. Previously I wrote about possibly trying to incentivize authors to cover different topics beside crypto down the line. Naturally the main target and consumer of posts on the website right now are crypto people but I do hope to see this eventually come a more complete platform.
When reading the different posts over the last few weeks I have run across several that mentioned something that stuck out to me. They either did not like getting tips in AMPL or more often did not like the iFARM tips. Seeing this appear multiple times I tried to think of a way that people could access their tips quicker rather than wait for a new coin or token to cycle in as that can take time especially if it is the newest edition. This led me to come up with the following idea and I would love to hear some feedback on if it is crazy or a good idea!
What if an author could choose to swap or exchange one crypto for another when claiming. To cover any costs associated with this a fee naturally would be applied. Further diving into this the fee could be on a sliding scale where if more and more people want to exchange iFARM for let’s say ETH the fee gets higher and higher as more people do this.
The platform could then encourage others of the highly sought token/coin by improving the conversion rate to be more beneficial to those who are willing to trade in the saught after token/coin. For instance, if iFARM is worth $150 and you have say $10 of ETH instead of getting $10 of iFARM due to the increase in the desire of ETH the individual could get $12 of iFARM. It does not need to be a crazy high improvement but some better than the initial spread.
While I love all the different tips that one can get I have seen enough other posts of people who did not like one token or another. I feel this would allow for an individual to better monopolize their posts as they are getting what they want even if that means they lose some of it. Again this is just an idea I brainstormed when at work avoiding doing actual work. I am sure people will either love or hate this idea and I welcome those that have a comment to let me know down below!
