We have a plagiarism problem

By vinzer | Just Another Everyman | 30 Dec 2021

Earlier today, I came across an article that appeared in the front page, read through it and saw stilted English that seemed really off. It wasn't the English of someone who isn't a native speaker, but one that seems to have been ran through a re-worder utility a couple of times over. Some key Google searches later, and I found the source article for it. I immediately reported the post, then curiously went through the author's other posts. Lo and behold, a good bunch of them have been rewords or Frankenstein pieces from different articles, all without attribution. Dude seems to have been a prolific plagiarizer, going unnoticed for months already and making some decent tips in the process.

Sad thing is that it's not the first time I've seen plagiarizers going unnoticed for a long time here on this platform. I know Publish0x has been very adamant and diligent about removing plagiarized content on this site, but they can't do this alone. Please help the team out whenever you come across curiously-worded content. It helps the team, it helps us readers get to the great original content we're all here for, it helps authors to protect their work, and it shuts out thieves who want to profit from someone else's efforts.
