The dearMoon project of Yusaku Maezawa via SpaceX's Starship has finally selected the crew members of its mission to the moon.
It is an eclectic group of individuals like a DJ, K-Pop star, photographer, to the space geek Tim Dodd. They also come from different countries.
A notable aspect of this project like Inspiration4 is that they are all civilians and private individuals instead of having any military or government affiliations like in most human space missions.
MZ essentially had a selection process whereby he tried to select people from all those who want to join around the world and are able bodied whom he would like to hang out with a lot -basically cool people.
Although dearMoon will only orbit the moon, this is a great trial of crew selection process in upcoming Mars expeditions. Going to and from the moon takes a few days, maybe a couple of weeks at most including the stay. Going to Mars will take months. That means you really want to be with people you like and not just be comfortable with them.
