Early 2018 I found myself in the world of faucets. Ads popping up everywhere on my screen thanks to the Ads placement system from just a few web searches i had previously done. Ads ranging from "get 0.1 bitcoins in 30 min" and more of those nature, if you're reading this I'm sure you've stumbled on to them quite as much. But i was a noob at the time, anything was a potential and so it began.

I've always strayed away from any and all Ads requiring registration or personal identification, and if Crypto is/was what i thought it was then there would be no point in adding personal details to a website. As noob as i was i still proceeded with caution, i had at least a few dummy emails just to be on the safe side and everything would be done on a computer that if hacked would have no useful information lost. 

At this point i had registered to a few dozen websites that later got shutdown but that did not stop me my search for that one genuine Satoshi that could potentially be a doorway for more. I recall it being a Sunday night when i first discovered a moon faucet, the website had a bright orange Bitcoin on the main window enticing me with a large sign-in button no other details required just an email. Wow! Could this be it!, i proceeded with caution as always, i had the dummy emails anyway whats the worst that could happen. The Moon faucet link proceeded to lead me to another website, Coinpot, registration was quick and easy and at that point i was introduced to four more currencies including its native Coinpot Token.

I quickly Dashed back to the moon faucet, other coins were not of interest to me, i was going for the one coin to rule them all!,  quickly entered my email and i was in. My welcome was not as ecstatic as i had hoped, the page had been clouded with ads and those were always a red flag for me. Could the use of Ad blockers help me Doge this one, may be not, i closed the page and proceeded exploring other Lite options without intrusive ads popping up. As should be noted, learning about the different Cryptocurrencies should be the first thing before making an investment decision i had come to learn of Forks, a term used to describe a divergence of one Crypto to another potential Crypto protocols such that of Bitcoin Cash and those that followed suite.

I woke up bright and early on the next day, rushed to college, and thought to myself, if i left the faucet running all night could it have made a ton of Satoshis, Oh! those wishful thoughts of a late adopter to the game. Was i in for a joyous reveal or another wasted attempt. As soon my day classes ended i rushed back home, opened my laptop proceeded to log on to Moon, and there it was, my first ever real claim, 15 Satoshis !!. 

Now i know 15 Satoshis is practically nothing, but that shouldn't discourage a newb exploring these new avenues. At the end of the day you own part of a bigger chunk and the value could grow....
