The cryptocurrency market is unlike any other financial market that you can invest in. Riches can be made overnight, but they can be taken away even faster. If you’re not fully focused and always paying attention, it’s likely that eventually your luck will come to an end, and you’ll experience portfolio losses. But there is one thing that everyone who has been in the crypto market will tell anyone who is just entering it. This market is simply a game of survival. Those who can survive for the long term have a very high chance of success. Those who only think in the short term will not be.
Surviving and staying in the market sounds easy enough, but it actually will be one of the most stressful and difficult things you will ever go through. Crypto is the most volatile asset on Earth. Seeing the value of your portfolio drop by tens of thousands of dollars or more in a day is just a normal Tuesday in this market. Then add the fact that there is constant FUD being thrown our way, and overnight it seems we have become enemy number 1 in the mind of the Biden administration in the US Government. What all of this means is that in the cryptocurrency market; if the price fluctuations don’t get to you, the loss of confidence in the market by news and FUD will certainly begin to take a toll.
That is true even for those of us with the most conviction in this market. That is also why I decided to take a short break from crypto.
For those of you who have been following my work for any duration of time, you will likely know three things already. The first is that I believe Bitcoin is the name of the game in this industry. The second is that crypto has an extremely bright future that will make many people rich. Finally, the third is that my conviction in. this market cannot be shaken. Even in the most bearish of times, I still remain incredibly optimistic about this market.
Perhaps you didn’t even notice because I worked hard to pre-schedule articles to be posted. But for the last two weeks, I have been taking a break from crypto. This market is the thing that I’m most passionate about and look forward to being involved in it each and every day. However, there is no denying that crypto can begin to take a toll on you, especially with my personality. When I’m passionate about something, I always go 110%, and nothing less. In the crypto market, that means you must constantly be learning, checking the news, and prices, researching, and in my case writing.
As I mentioned before, the most important thing in this market is surviving. The worst possible outcome for me would be becoming burnt out. Resulting in me either losing passion for this market or deciding to sell out of my positions. Something that I have learned over the years since I have been in crypto is that it is vital to take breaks from it. Taking a step back and not checking prices, not checking news or FUD, not even writing or making content. Taking a full break.
This is the secret that has allowed me to stay energized in this market and allows me to keep a balanced mind. These breaks help me to remember why I’m so passionate about this market, and the incredible future it has. It helps to erase the pain and stress this market has inflicted over the last two years. I do this multiple times everywhere.
And so the last few weeks I’ve been hopping around tropical islands. Swimming with sea turtles, whales, and dolphins. Enjoying my other hobbies and interests which is sea life. But I’m back to crypto and have more energy than ever. The next year will be incredible for this market, and I can’t wait to see what happens.
How about you? How do you stay sane in the cryptocurrency market?
