The School of Obedience: Why They Teach You Linux but Hide the Keys to Your Financial Freedom

By floc1960 | joanramo | 3 Feb 2026

I have been using Linux on my Lenovo for years. I appreciate its logic, its robustness, and the fact that it is open source. It is a tool that many schools and universities now include in their programs as a symbol of "technological innovation." But lately, I’ve been asking myself a disturbing question: Why does the system want you to be a Linux expert but a financial illiterate?

The answer is as simple as it is brutal: The educational system was not designed to create free individuals, but to format efficient "digital workers."

The Great Educational Trap

Schools teach you how to manage a server, how to code in Python, or how to navigate an operating system. They want you to be the perfect component for a company’s machinery. They give you the tools to be a productive employee, but they carefully hide the tools that could make you a sovereign citizen.

They talk to you about "open source" software, but they keep you trapped in a "closed source" financial system. A system where your money is not yours, where inflation eats your future, and where banks decide if you can access your own life's work.

Why is Crypto a Taboo in the Classroom?

It is fascinating. You can spend years studying the history of dead economies, but not a single hour learning about Bitcoin, Ethereum, or the 57% annual growth of Gold. They don't want you to understand what a CBDC is or how a digital wallet can give you the keys to your own "office" without needing a boss.

They fear that if you apply the same logic you use for Linux—the logic of decentralization and freedom—to your money, you will stop being a predictable worker and start being a free person.

The Logic of the "Different"

You don't need a 194 IQ to see the trap. You just need to stop listening to the "obvious" things everyone says and start looking at the results. The system labels those of us who question this as "different" or "rebels," just like they did to me when I was a child. But the truth is that true intelligence is not about memorizing what they tell you; it's about understanding what they are hiding from you.

Conclusion

The real "Open Source" revolution isn't just about software; it's about your life. If you know how to manage a Linux kernel but don't know how to manage your own financial sovereignty, you are still a prisoner—just a very efficient one.

It's time to stop learning how to serve the machine and start learning how to own your destiny. Because the most dangerous thing for the system is an educated person who also holds the keys to their own bank.
