Staying aware of the latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, which is available on the WHO website and through your national and local public health authority. COVID-19 is still affecting most people in China with increasing outbreaks in other countries. Most people who become infected experience mild illness and recover, but it can be more severe for the elderly with pre-existing respiratory conditions.
But let's put some of the numbers into perspective really look at what I am saying, below is a screenshot from one of the Coronavirus tracking HEAT MAPS now if you look at the main numbers, it highlights the largest number which on the surface is a scary statistic. However, if we do the math this is the actual situation and since posting this article 14 days ago the number of infected and deaths has doubled.
So can we assume that the numbers will double every 2 weeks or will the quarantine strategy help to reduce the number of infected or will it just delay the inevitable, this is the major unknown question that is surely on everyone's minds.

But look at these World Health Organization map they do not even mention the recovered patient's data, we have to ask ourselves why they choose to withhold this data from this map (blue) instead of the one I have attached above (grey):

Update 04 March at 6am (GMT +2)

Of course, this outbreak of this variant of coronavirus is highly contagious but there are 7.9 billion people in the world today, here is some more perspective looking at a disease that has 129 x the Death rate "Malaria" and yet the sense of panic is diminished because it affects mostly the African continent.
- Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is preventable and curable.
- In 2018, there were an estimated 228 million cases of malaria worldwide.
- The estimated number of Malaria deaths stood at 405 000 in 2018.
- Children aged under 5 years are the most vulnerable group affected by malaria; in 2018, they accounted for 67% (272 000) of all malaria deaths worldwide.
- The WHO African Region carries a disproportionately high share of the global malaria burden. In 2018, the region was home to 93% of malaria cases and 94% of malaria deaths.
- Total funding for malaria control and elimination reached an estimated US$ 2.7 billion in 2018. Contributions from governments of endemic countries amounted to US$ 900 million, representing 30% of total funding.
So we have to be careful and of course, take as many precautions as possible within our own direct ecosystems in order to reduce the potential of getting sick especially in the current hots spots worldwide. In general, it is a matter of being sensible and maintaining good hygiene as well as avoiding large gatherings until the Coronavirus is brought under control and new cases start to diminish. In the link to this article, I have attached in-depth info from the World Health Organization.
