Vento d'estate - Summer Hit in Italy in 1998

"Vento d'estate" (Summer wind) is a single by Italian singer-songwriters Max Gazzè and Niccolò Fabi, released in 1998 as the third extract from Gazzè's second studio album "La favola di Adamo ed Eva" and as the second extract from Fabi's second studio album Niccolò Fabi.

Max Gazzè has declared that the duet with Fabi for "Vento d'estate" is the testimony of a friendship born in the Roman clubs and pubs that has lasted for years.

English Text

I allowed love to run away
I met it again after a few hours
It returned without a single complaint
It changed like the wind changes

Summer wind, I'm going to the sea, what are you doing?
Don't wait for me, I might lose my way

I thought about the sound of its name
And how it changes depending on the person
I thought of everything in a single moment
I understood how the wind changes

Summer wind, I'm going to the sea, what are you doing?
Don't wait for me, I might lose my way

I allowed love to run away
I met it again after a few hours
It returned without a single complaint
It changed like the wind changes

I thought about the sound of its name
And how it changes depending on the person
I thought of everything in a single moment
I understood how the wind changes

Summer wind, I'm going to the sea, what are you doing?
Don't wait for me, I might lose my way

Summer wind, I'm going to the sea, I'm going to the sea
Don't wait for me, I lost my way

Italian Text

Ho lasciato scappar via l'amore
L'ho incontrato dopo poche ore

Ho lasciato scappar via l'amore
L'ho incontrato dopo poche ore
