What the TECH!! + Raspberry PI Giveaway!
We’ve been looking at ways to provide consistency around our content, whilst continuing to provide educational content that is interesting to people whilst helping us to avoid the dreaded writers block.
One of the things that’s become apparent is that when you’re writing to a schedule, new and engaging content production can be a tricky venture. Whilst there’s plenty to write about in the world of open source intelligence and technology, we’ve continued to look for ways to produce engaging content that’s informative to our readers and covers a broad range of security and technology based content without drifting off topic.
We’ve noticed plenty of engagement around our multi part series SDR and the World around us, which we’ve found encouraging. In case you missed it here’s links for Part 1 and Part 2 for you to review, but the general focus of it is based around signals intelligence and producing a raspberry pi based Sig Int Station.
As a result we’ve decided to launch a new recurring column based on entirely on technology analysis. We’ve called it “What the Tech” and it’ll be a technology review based around critical pieces of technology, both civilian and military that have influenced our world, for better or worse. It’ll continue to be published on our existing blog and platforms, however we’ll try take a month to month focus looking at things that are relevant to each other.
We’d also like some feedback on pieces of technology you’d like to review or read about. Whilst we aren’t intending to place a time frame on this and will predominantly focus modern era tech, we aren’t adverse to taking a step back into time by looking at the impact on pieces of technology in days gone by. This means the telegram and steam technology can be a candidate right along side thermal imagery and satellite technology.
Our first article will release this coming weekend, but in the meantime we have a simple question. What would you like to read about? If you’d like to suggest something you can either leave it for us in the comments or get in touch via telegram.
The last piece of interesting news we have in keeping with the theme is that we’ll now run a regular tech giveaway for subscribers and readers. The prize and terms will change from time to time and, we’ll start May off by putting up a Raspberry Pi Nano. Whilst not at powerful as its Pi 4 big brother, its still a super cool piece of gear. We use one configured as a BadUSB for part of our security demo’s.
To enter, simply follow us on the platform your reading on, and leave a comment for as to keep track. We’ll run the draw at the end of the month.
