The leading Japanese cryptocurrency exchange bitFlyer has announced a partnership with the developer of the privacy-oriented browser Brave for the release of the cryptocurrency wallet.
A Brave spokesperson explained that at present, Japanese browser users are deprived of the opportunity to receive rewards in BAT tokens due to regulatory standards. Issuing a wallet, according to the company, can solve the problem. On bitFlyer, the native Brave token has been trading since April of this year.
“At the moment, we use“ points ”to pay rewards to users, but there are some limitations. We think that launching a wallet will help overcome the problem, ”said a Brave spokesman.
BitFlyer plans to reveal more information about the wallet at a cryptocurrency event in Tokyo on July 30. Brave founder and CEO Brendan Eich is expected to visit him.
In early June, Brave was at the center of the scandal. In his code , built-in referral links leading to the sites of several bitcoin exchanges and wallets were found. A few days later a group of third-party developers held a fork of the browser by removing the links from it.
