I was an active duty USN Hospital Corpsman for over 24 years.
Early on, I served as a "Grunt Corpsman"; the medics that deployed wherever the U.S. Marines went - also affectionately called "Devil Docs".
Later on, I became part of the military elite; serving as an Independent Hospital Corpsman (IDC).
What is an IDC?
IMHO, an IDC is basically a person with HIGHLY ADVANCED medical skills that can be sent into war zones WITHOUT paying them the same salary as a physician!
Anyway, midway in my career, I was assigned to perform physical examinations.
And since I get bored very easily and am a natural wise-ass, I couldn't resist playing the following prank...several times!
A Hilarious Military Medical Prank
I used to freak out my patients during physical exams.
How?
By putting a mannequin's hand on one shoulder and my own hand on the other - while performing the prostate exam!

Believing that school was too boring, he dropped out of High School early; only to earn an AA, BS and MBA in less than 4 years much later in life – while working full-time as a Navy/Marine Corps Medic.
In spite of a fear of heights and deep water, he performed high altitude, free-fall parachute jumps and hazardous diving ops in deep, open ocean water.
After 24 years of active duty, he retired in Asia.
Since then, he's been a full-time, single papa and actively pursuing his varied passions (Writing, Disruptive Technology, Computer Science and Cryptocurrency - plus more hobbies too boring or bizarre for most folk).
He lives on an island paradise with his teenage daughter, longtime girlfriend and three dogs.
