Snow-Covered Ground

Today, there is Snowfall in Sub-Saharan Africa

I ended up working in the rain today, exercising dogs. Even though I wore a raincoat, jacket and gloves, I got soaked through and lost sensation in my fingers and toes. Today has been so cold that about an hour after I got home, snow started to fall. That was about an hour and a half ago (at time of writing) and it's still going strong.

I'm house-sitting for my parents this weekend. Their poor dogs are not happy at having to go out in such freezing weather and gave me pained looks when I sent them out to do their business.

Now, bear in mind that I live in Sub-Saharan Africa. Yesterday, the temperature reached thirty degrees Celsius, in Winter. That's exceptional in its own way, but not particularly uncommon. (On average, the daily temperature is anywhere from nine to nineteen degrees Celsius.) The last time snow fell here was about fifteen to twenty years ago, for a few minutes. This is crazy. Fuck me, but it's cold! I am wearing my gloves inside the house. We're just not adequately equipped for such weather, seeing as it is so rare.

I'm currently seeking fixed employment as a S/W & Web developer (C# & ASP .NET MVC, PHP 8+, Python 3), hoping to stash the farmed fiat and go full Crypto, quit the 07:30-18:00 grind. Unsigned music producer; snarky; white; balding; smashes Patriarchy.

SW/Web developer: ~12 years of C# (yay!) & ASP .Net MVC, Java (blargh!), Python (woot!) experience. I'm currently hitting faucets and writing for crypto to stake/invest . | I work part-time with animals. Sadly, my cerebellum and medulla oblongata aren't Einsteinian in proportion. However, I possess a Brobdingnagian vocabulary and get by with being a barbigerous logophile. I can probably write you into bed, if smashing Capitalism and Patriarchy turns you on. Kink is political!
