"When Humanity Forks..."

"When Humanity Forks..."

Hive will be two years old in March this year, if I remember correctly and that moment marks the fork of not only a blockchain into a new one, built pretty much on the same technical, but also a fork of a community. Most of us around here have been active member of Steem as well, but look at us now...

We can finally say we're using a totally decentralized blockchain, we are free of all the bullshit that made Steem famous(ninja mined tokens, bid bots, circle jerking) and we've pretty much built our own online community that tied as hell.

The world is flawed as hell, if you ask me and this plague goes from currency creation by the central banks to authoritarian powers trashing our fundamental freedoms and the brainwashing process that's taking places through media, music industry, gaming, social media and so on...

We're literally living in a matrix and there's not many of us noticing that.

This quite peaceful and meaningful protest that the Canadians, at least some of them, are involved in is often times advertised as Bitcoin fixes this type of event. What happens with the funds that these people are being given through donations is outrageous, due to all these centralized powers trying to freeze them and to make life hard for the protesters.

Bitcoin fixes this.

You can see this written on all sort of banners in Ottawa and to some extent that's true, but how many of us are actually using Bitcoin to circumvent current financial system and authoritarian powers, or any other type of crypto? How many merchants around the world are accepting crypto?

Well, not too many and humanity might be at the point right now where it has to fork, pretty much like how we did with Hive. When you get to realize these living conditions are unbearable, you just simply have to create new communities, better governed and built on different pillars.

Will Humanity Ever Fork?

This is an important question as we brag about blockchain technology and Bitcoin day and night, but we don't actually use this tech that much for what it has been designed. We keep on waiting for regulations and governments approvals when we should actually start using the damn coins and blockchains in daily life.

The moment we will actually accept commerce with crypto, no longer rely on established media outlets and grow this space to a whole different usability level it's when we can say we actually forked humanity from the hell it's become to a Satoshi designed heaven. That's how I see it.

We need to have "Bitcoin accepted here" messages all over the place and economies built around that. If we keep on waiting for governors to make the world a better place we will end up waiting forever. It's not going to happen. What Canadians need to do is to actually use the damn bitcoin, no longer comply and fork from the current reality they're living there.

This type of a awakening, though, needs to happen on a scale. I hope that I shall live to see such a world, a parallel world to the current giant web we have. I just hope that...

Thanks for attention,
Adrian
