You can't have crypto without crypto Twitter, or better said, you can't have crypto Twitter without crypto. These two are highly tied together and many of the ones that are in crypto right now have created their Twitter accounts soon after starting to play with cryptocurrencies. I have had mine since 2015 but unfortunately, I didn't know about Bitcoin back then.
There are some really loud individuals in this community(the crypto world, not Hive) though and these are not necessarily the most indicated folks to be following... for anything. They have, however, hundreds of thousands of followers and they do a good business out of that. Probably better than they do with trading, or investing in the projects they often shill on social media.
These people really like to beat the dead horse until the fucker eventually comes to life... I'm sure that you have noticed already some of such accounts, especially on youtube, folks having as thumbnails for their videos selfies of themselves with their mouths opened announcing "the next coin to moon" or the "ultimate salinization price for BTC".
There are high chances that their targets are failing in 99% of the time and when these are actually nailed they won't hold back from bragging about that. They do not admit however that they were wrong 99% of the time prior to that. They never will. These are the influencers that oftentimes lead their followers to slaughter, or hold them off track from "buying the actual dips" when these occur and stop chasing the impossible targets these influencers are selling to their followers.
PlanB, MMCrypto, and The Moon are a few examples of such individuals. While PlanB might not be suffering from the open mouth syndrome he sure falls in the category that has the ability to push plebs off track in regards to their investments. They always have these insane price predictions during both bull markets and bear markets too. From their side of the spectrum, Bitcoin is never on track for anything earthly.
It is either on the road to $200k or more or on a fall to $10k. Both scenarios are highly deceiving and unrealistic. These guys are always the holders of the next gem that's gonna moon, they know what's happening behind the scenes of certain projects and oftentimes the time frames that are offered by them for when mooning shall occur as well. None has nailed, from what I know, the peak in 2021 though...
I only know of one person on Twitter who called back in 2020 for $66,000 to be the top for BTC during the past bull market, but that guy doesn't suffer from the open mouth syndrome. He's quite level-headed and balanced the way I see it. His name is Mr. Anderson if I remember correctly.
These types of guys that I mentioned in this post never admit they were wrong, they don't make public their trades and chances are that they make more money from selling trading courses that everyone could have access to for free or with almost no investment at all, or from youtube videos than they make from the trading and investing they pertain to be successfully doing.
These are the people everyone should stay away from. Their toxicity is clear, they do not offer anything valuable to the crypto community and oftentimes they are the reason for many of us either missing important profits during bull markets or losing money with the shady projects they're shilling on social media. This is my personal take regarding such fake and loud gurus of the crypto world... Take it as it easy.
Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
