Scars of a Hidden War

Scars of a Hidden War

When you have buildings in your country that look similar to the ones from the countries that are currently going through war or others that have gone through such a painful event lately, you know that there's an unseen war inside yours as well. It might not be a violent one and involve weapons of destruction, but it is there...

You can almost feel it.

The war in my country, the hidden one that I am referring to, started soon after Ceausescu, the communist leader of Romania, was murdered in December 1989. Romania was becoming a "threat to the IMF", pretty much like El Salvador does now, from the perspective of becoming a debt-free sovereign country. It managed to achieve such a goal(being debt-free) for a period of a few months, from April 1989 until soon after the president of the country was killed.

Once the communist leader was taken down(literally murdered), it was time for the WEST to put its puppets in charge of the country and since then, these have acted like pure parasites for this nation. All they did, no matter the political party, in over thirty years of governance, was to sell almost everything of value from this country(oil, real estate, state-owned industries, etc) and enslave us in debt. Way more debt that the one we had prior to '89.

We're so much in debt(sold) right now that Romania doesn't even belong to Romanians anymore. Now, by no means am I trying to say that the times we lived under communist governance were better, especially when it came to the point of having the freedom to travel, freedom of speech, and the liberty to develop yourself spiritually and financially as an individual, but at least we owned this shit back then... Now we don't own anything anymore...

Look at these buildings... These are located in a central area of the city where I go to the gym, and as you can see for yourselves from these pics, their decaying state is unbelievable. There are plenty of such examples all over the country and that makes me say that there's a hidden war inside this nation.

A war against its sovereignty, its ability to grow and to be free and independent. The only thing that grew exponentially after communism got abolished in the country was corruption. The fuckers that got in charge of this country have only cared about filling their pockets and serving the foreign leaders of the nation and doing little to no effort for the better of the nation in over thirty years of so-called democracy.

It's sad... I mean, this country literally has all the natural resources we need. All of them. We shouldn't rely on anything from anyone. But we are, nevertheless, slaves to the EU and indirectly to the US. This is how "the world spins". Whenever there's a country that has the potential to become sovereign and stay like that, the bankers intervene and somehow destroy it so they can throw it into debt once again.

There's simply no way around it...

I have no hopes for the country anymore. Like literally zero. Even the more developed ones are screwed, the way I see it, so what could I be asking for ours?... While some countries are literally at war right now, we've been having a hidden one here for over thirty years and it is not over yet. That's why the police forces are continually growing in numbers... You can't control the people and protect yourself from the rebels without policing them.

Can Bitcoin fix anything about that? No, not really... Bitcoin's not "the savior", it shouldn't even be. If we were more conscious and tied together as a nation, and even at the global level as a society, we wouldn't even need Bitcoin, or decentralized blockchain technology. There's nothing wrong with centralization if handled properly. In some cases, decentralization has proved to only create more disorder...

But when centralization is "unfixable", then the only option left is decentralization. Otherwise, egos will do so much harm to the network until they'll eventually kill it.

Thanks for your attention,
Adrian
