The competition between China and the US is pretty clear, you don't need any super power to acknowledge it. China has had its time when it has probably been "the no.1 super power" in the world, but the way I see it, the US is playing the dice in its favor this time.
Just recently, a short video of Jerome Powell saying that the US has no plan on banning Bitcoin has been uploaded by all sort of twitter accounts and it was somehow expected for the US to go on this road. It was probably the only chance it had at this point to beat China at its own game, which is technology.
Jerome Powell is faking it though, because he's saying they won't ban Bitcoin as if Bitcoin could be actually be banned and he'd definitely do the other way if it would be possible. It's not like he's the new Michael Saylor in crypto. There's no way in banning Bitcoin, and my take is that if the US would at least hint towards banning it we will probably see even more people getting into it. At this point in time, Bitcoin is vital.
I no longer even see crypto as assets, but one of the only ways of fighting the tyrranid system that threatens to take over the world. China's path is already clear, although there are probably a few individuals here and there who are still dealing with crypto inside the country's borders. For me this is a country that's on a path towards achieving totalitarian control over its citizens and there's no way back.
The US is a clear winner and there's already clear signs to that. First of all we have quite many miners that have left China and chose America to move their mining equipment and do the job they've been doing relentlessly in the communist country before the mining ban. There's already the chair of the Federal Reserve stating that they don't have any intention in banning Bitcoin...
...there are senators, wearing those laser eyes :D on their twitter profile pics, that are pointing towards the situation with China as being America's opportunity to once again shine, we have the city of Miami who's actually mining crypto and has its own cryptocurrency, the MiamiCoin, Texas will be hosting a huge mining facility sooner than later, there are over 5,000 ATMs at the moment across the US and there was a news today regarding a mayor from a small town in Missouri planning on airdropping every citizens out of the total of 15,000 with $1,000 worth of BTC.
The man is even incentivizing people to HODL and stake while offering educational courses for whoever wishes to attend. I know it starts small and we don't have real hardcore mass adoption of crypto in the US, but these are steps worth paying attention to. The US is still a big influencer in the world and that should play an important part in the mass adoption process of crypto around the globe.
There's going to be an institutional and governmental FOMO for crypto sooner than later. I bet on that. Stable coins will have to be regulated though, according to Jerome Powel. I bet that if the government of the US would be able to ban Bitcoin it would definitely do that, but since that's impossible, they rather play the safe card instead.
I am personally no a fan of the US. Don't have a particular reason for that, but I have to give it credit for choosing the smarter moves than China in this Bitcoin game and opening its doors towards mass adoption rather than building walls such as China did. It's not the first time in history when China chooses to "seal itself from progress and the rest of the world". I feel sorry for the Chinese, but it's in their hands to change that.
I also expect the US to approve a Bitcoin ETF, the first one actually, by the end of the year. That will simply sky rocket Bitcoin. If and when that happens we will probably have our first $50,000 green candle for Bitcoin. I can feel it... Meanwhile, wish you all a great day and see you to the next one.
Thanks for attention,
